SUMMARY:Jung in India 2027 The Body of the Divine: Tantra\, Ayurveda and the Living Soul of South India Sponsored by the C.G. Jung Foundation of New York and the Chicago C. G. Jung Institute Guest Faculty – Ashok Bedi M.D.\, Jungian Psychoanalyst and Ami Bedi LPC NCC\, psychotherapist January 26 - February 5\, 2027
DESCRIPTION:If Vedanta is the head of the Hindu tradition and the Bhagavata Purana its heartbeat\,\nthen Tantra is its body — the tradition that refuses to leave the flesh behind in the quest\nfor the divine. In late January – early February 2027\, we journey to the lush\, sacred\nlandscape of South India — the ancient root from which Tantra\, Ayurveda\, and the living\narts of body and soul first flowered — to explore the Tantric vision that the body is not\nan obstacle to transcendence but its very vehicle.\nThrough the lens of analytical psychology\, we will trace how the Tantric path — with its\n112 meditation doorways\, its Kundalini ascent from matter to spirit\, and its radical insis\ntence that what is in the body is in the cosmos — illuminates Jung’s own conviction that\nindividuation occurs not by transcending life but by living it more fully.\nFrom the historic shores of Cochin to the misty\ntea plantations of Munnar and the tranquil back\nwaters of Kumarakom\, this journey weaves to\ngether temple ritual\, Ayurvedic healing\, and the\nembodied wisdom of India’s oldest continuous\nliving civilization.\nPlease join us for our 20th Jungian Encounter\nwith India in 2027\, another magical journey! Ker\nala is referred to as ”God’s Own Country”\, ver\ndant paddy fields\, tall coconut palms and deep\nblue lakes\, canals and sea!\nThis study group includes 12 hours of Continuing\nEducation Credits under the auspices of the C.G.\nJung Institute of Chicago. Of course\, the most\ninteresting discussions take place informally and\norganically in temples and marketplaces\, streets\nand riverboats as we explore the cultural and\nspiritual treasures of this oldest\, continuous\, living\ncivilization on earth!\nThe Jungian Faculty for this journey is Ashok Bedi\, M.D.\, a Jungian psychoanalyst and\na board-certified psychiatrist. He practices in Milwaukee\, Wisconsin. His publications\nand upcoming programs may be previewed at www.pathtothesoul.com\nAmi Bedi\, LPC\, NCC of Akhilanda Consulting\, is a Milwaukee-based psychotherapist\nwith a specialization in trauma therapy. Over the past 15 years\, she has focused on and\nelevated wellness and emotional self-awareness as forms of liberation and\ndecolonization. Ami has helped people reconnect to collective wisdom and a sense of\nbelonging as cornerstones to healing and transformation.\nWe look forward to your participation in this new and refreshing journey\, as Ashok and\nAmi Bedi amplifie and deepen Jung’s writings and teachings through his talks\, lectures\nand dream groups in light of new research in psychology and neuroscience. We will\nalso dialogue with local experts to let the boots on the ground perspective of the time\nless wisdom of India.\nThis journey includes 12 CEs relevant to the theme of our journey and may be\ntax-deductible for mental health professionals to the extent the law allows. For\nmore information or to reserve your space please write to regine@mindfuljour\nneys.com\nThe C.G. Jung Institute of Chicago maintains responsibility for this program and its con\ntent.
